Trip to T town

Been to my home town (T town aka Tulcea) this Saturday. Nice seeing my folks after 3 months or so.
I wasn't alone - Adriana, her brother and parents joined. So we took them up on a hill where's a nice monument and where you can see the whole town.

Since I don't want to post anything but my own work on my illustration blog, I thought I'd post here other illustration blogs of artists that I like. Fernanda Guedes is a brazilian graphic artisit with an unique style that inspire me. She is very urban, fashionable, expressive and whitty in her drawings. I obviously like that. :)

The weekend

Beach again! Yeeeee! Got a tan this time! Oh and a flat tire on our way there by maxi-taxi. One tire exploded and after 20 minutes we were still on the highway in the middle of nowhere. Thank God it wasn't nothing major. Exciting, huh? :)

First weekend of July and why do we (people) get married

Been to the seaside this weekend - Nasty weather...brrrr! But at least I got to swim for an hour before the storm started. Sweeeet! ...and also my first swim this year! Yuhooo!

Due to bad conditions for a tan, Adriana and myself had to spend Sunday in house. And what better thing to do than watching movies? Not proud of the initial choice - Shall we dance, but hey, we learn something out of everything, right? And so I did. This is the best explanation for getting married I have ever heared, therfore I agree with it. Susan Sarandon's character was the wise on this one:

Beverly Clark: We need a witness to our lives. There's a billion people on the planet... I mean, what does any one life really mean? But in a marriage, you're promising to care about everything. The good things, the bad things, the terrible things, the mundane things... all of it, all of the time, every day. You're saying 'Your life will not go unnoticed because I will notice it. Your life will not go un-witnessed because I will be your witness'."

Moreover, I really like Susan Sarandon as an actress, although in this movie her talent was underused cause of the script. But great quote, huh? :)
