Lovely spring flowers

Sting

This is my most recent friend - Sting. He enjoys horse back riding, chairs, white flowers, mermaides, men with a sense of colour, naked chicks, rap music and thrillers.

Friday evening

Made in Romania - directed by Dan Puric, great dancing show, old school hall, funny scenes, subtle references, not enough room for our legs, cool mixture, lot of passion, bad toilets, romanian reality at its best.

Czech Centre

I love passionate people. And there are a few down at the Czech Centre in Bucharest organizing all sorts of events with all sorts of other passionate people. Last night there were Jakub Dvorsky and Vaclav Blin from Amanita Design. So I had an entertaining and fun evening.
More about it from Diana.

Cute creatures in my yard back home

Easter back home

Last Sunday we had Easter. Just like most of Romanians, I spent the few holly days with my family. That was quiet and nice, as usual. Time off from reality. Not that I needed any. My reality is just fine these days. Anyway, here are some pics I took in T-town. The Danube is high as you can see. That caused lots of floods in most parts of Romania. Sad thing. I also took some pics with the cute animals that were running around our yard back home. Enjoy!

Alo aaaaaalo

You just have to have a mobile these days. Cause everyone does. It's IMPOSSIBLE to live without one. Actually it's better if you have two of them - one for business and one for pleasure. You know, no mix up in that area.
We're a pretty communicative nation, aren't we? And some of us also like to show off sometimes. Just as I am doing now.
Here's my telecommunication evolution. On the left - my first mobile 7 years ago, I think and on the right the mobile that I have right now. My flatmate just found the old one somewhere and I was so happy to see it again (since I though I've lost it) that I had to post this one.
I feel much safer now that it's back! Cause it's so big, you know? :D

L

This is Laura. The one..not furry. She's my other friend I made at work. She's also a copywriter and recently got a cat and discovered she can also be nice with animals. To make the story short - she traumatised a guineea pig and telepathycally killed a parrot. So watch out you guys who wanna mess with her. Her sense of humour can hurt you as well if you're not up to the challenge.
She's also taking pilates classes, painting her kitchen walls, reading a lot and having the best ass I have ever seen. ;)

PS: L insisted to post her picture here. It's her best side. She hopes to get noticed and persue a carreer in modeling. :P

freaks

In front of the National Theatre.
It says on the board: Sankt Petersburg's Wax Figures Museum.
Incredible...
-The most mysterious men of Terra
-The hell is back
-The underground mysteries
-The anatomical office
Didn't check that out though. I think I was too scared. :P

D

This is one part of Diana's desk. It's much cleaner now. Yeeah, sure.
She's my very good friend and planner at work.
She's a capricorn, she likes me, long walks in the parc, tea, smileys, film noir, comics, planning and strategy in advertising, Russel Davies, studying psychos (which is very much related to advertising) and saving the planet from the unmotivated and shallow people.
Pretty interesting person, huh? Believe me, she is!

PS: D, you owe me big for this one :P

The greatest gallery of print ads

Flipping through Lurzer's Archive to get in the advertising mood. Great work inspires me. No, I'm not trying to copy anyone. What would be the fun of all this then?

Big buildings ask for big ads

The outdoor activity in Bucharest is pretty intense, as you may notice in the pics.
The big buildings uptown are covered in ads - none of them really standing out of the crowd, though. Getting people's atention with this medium here it's even harder when we all got so used to see the same stuff, in the same places, having the same shape and saying things in the same way. It all looks like a huge bad exhibition if you ask me.
I know, I have my part of balme working as well in this fucked up industry of advertising. But hey, I'm a mindfucker still in training! Have a little patience!
Peace.

Academia de Studii Economice

That building on the right is The Academy of Economic Studies Bucharest. I finished The Faculty of International Business and Commerce there. Cool, huh? Oh, so super!

Actually my college years were spent mostly in student organizations (AIESEC and founded ADVICE) where all the fun is. See, a Powerpuff always knows how to handle a big mean creature!

The thing is that nowdays just going to class and getting involved only in given activities it's not enough! It's actually the most let's call it, uninspired thing one can do here in Romania. First of all you miss on all the fun and second of all on the various opportunities of learning all kind of practical stuff you'll find useful later on (like say...heavy drinkin' and such).
I think Oscar Wilde had it right all along: "Education is an admirable thing but it is well to remember that nothing that is worth knowing can be taught".

Oh, but I haven't told you the most famuous myth bout that small (seen from here) ball on top of the AES building. They say that it will fall when a girl finishes College still a virgin. It's been hanging in there for years!
