The Herastrau again

I'm posting few more pictures I took in Herastrau (when there was the flowers exhibition) just to finnish with this subject once and for all. Getting back to my every day life, what is there to say? I have a nasty cold these days and I've even skiped work today because of it. That's the good thing of being sick, not that being sick is too much fun, but just to keep a positive attitude about it all.

Play

Two weekends ago was the first sunny weeked. Everybody went to Herastrau Park. It was full of people, joy and flowers (cause it was some sort of exhibition with sale). That's what I call a nice Sunday. This post is the one with the kid's pictures.

I'm back

Last post - May 12!!! Oh my God, it's been a while! I've really neglected this blog and the only thing I can do about it is - post, post, post! :P

Two days ago was my boss's birthday (he's 34) and one day ago I got my driver's licence - yupee!

The pizzas out there were the birthday treat from our boss. Quite yummy I might add, but the only reason I'm mentioning this is cause I think the picture came out really nice. That's all.

Few more pics of this little town

Bacau as it was last weekend. The "so cute" thing says - "Cold nose, warm heart."

Back from Bacau

Great yellow! Great feeling!

Some organized guerrila

These wonderful strencils happened a little while ago. Actually it was the same day I saw the president giving autographs. It was Press Day that day and lots of interesting things happened related to that (so I've heared). Too bad I got there in time to only see this great sample of guerilla art. Good enough for me, though!

mr. president

Just the other day I was taking my usual walk back from the office through the Universitate. But this was no ordinary walk. It just happens that there he was - our president - mister Basescu - giving away autographs. Cool, I've said to myself - I want him to give me one as well - "For Cristina, the first woman ever to be the president of Romania". But then it got too crowded and I left. Not before I took these photos. Oh, and if you don't have your X-vision activated see this. And this.

husky

This is a dog I see almost every day on my way to work. Sometimes I take a different road to get there so I don't get to see him.
Few days back, D and me thought something had happened to the dog cause there were people fighting over him in front of the pub he's always sitting. Thank God he's alright, although D was a bit disappointed there was no mistery to solve. Hmmm...what do you know?!

Communism memorabilia

I was 8 years old when the revolution happened here in Romania and the communism days came to an end.
I do still remember all that stuff that used to be so familiar in the days of the mighty republica- the glass fish on top of the TV, the milk bottles that we had to wait in line for, the Jules Verne books in every library, including mine (haven't read too many of them though), the bottle of ink, the basket used in the store ("in alimentara") and of course the "pionieri" - pioneers (meaning the young guys - the future of the country that had to learn the ways of the communism in order to be able to bring our country on the highest peaks of prosperity) symbols.
I had been a "pionier" for only a few days before it all went down to the drain. And i was just about to command 20 guys (more or less) in my classroom. Oh well, my dictatorship days ended before they began...
