Not a complaint

It's soooo hot these days. I do prefer them to cold gloomy ones.

Toys

Cute little guys! I love these kind of imaginative toys! Wonderful! I think they can really spice up a kid's imagination. Actually... anyone's imagination!

Summer weekend

Here's a post bout my last weekend just few days before my next :)
I finnaly got to go to the Zoo. Yuhooo!

Sooo...just a quick review of that afternoon. The chimp looked really depressed, the bears were annoyed, the lion put up a show (that we kinda missed), the snake had hiccups, the fish were kissing or fighting - not sure, the lamas were having a little bit of a conference and the ratoons were so cute (and sometimes stupid) playing with each other.
I forgot to tell you bout the elephant. I think he/she was intoxicated with the mici smell. For those of you who don't know what mici are - they're a sort of traditional grilled meat balls that are usually served with cold beer. Yeap...and the elephant's cage is the closest one to the terasas at the entrance in the Zoo that sell that kind of treat. And what a treat that was - we couldn't help ourselves not tasting the mici. What we're hoping for is that the elephant didn't have any brother right before we came. :)
I regret not taking my camera home so I did not have the chance to take photos. Good thing Google had some. :)

That's about what happend in one half of the weekend. The other one we spent in Snagov. Nop, we didn't go to the monastery where Vlad Tepes "rests in peace". In return we went to a swimming pool and cooled off. There's always a next time, right?

Self publishing fair in Bucharest

I was there. The great thing about it is that I was more than a visitor - I had a book presented. Yupeeee!

It was a coloured big book with some of my illustrations and attempts of involving the audience - with stickers to stick and drawings that they were supposed to make themselves. I'm happy it all had a positive response and people actually made some drawings and even a story when sticking the little stickes I had prepared.
Thanks D and Adriana for coming with me at this thing. :)

Now that I had my moment I have to mention that there were so many other wonderful and creative books. As the organisers mentioned they would've liked this fair to be dedicated to all creative mediums, but it only covered the printing side for now. See the pictures to have an idea of how things looked around there.

I almost forgot about this...

Guerilla advertising in Cluj. It really made heads turn.

And there were also pics from the train...wohooo

Yes, I like taking pictures. And so I did on our way back from Cluj. The landscapes seen through the train's window were breathtaking. The light was special... and so was the ride - the whole 8 hours of it!

More pics from Cluj

On one of the narrow streets we've came across this great gate. The lady that was just leaving the place invited us to take photos from the inside and also gave us directions later on. Nice, nice people!

Cluj

It's time for more posting. Last week I've been to Cluj (8-11 of June). It was my first time in this wonderful city.

We went for the International Film Festival held there. As you can imagine I've seen a lot of films, not nearly as many as I would have liked to, but more than I had seen in quite a while. I would have loved to stay there for the whole two weeks of the Festival see movies all day and party all night, but well...
The films were all so interesting since the directors were young , fearless and ready to experiment.
All in all I had a great time seeing the movies, going to parties, walking around Cluj and meeting old friends.

Cluj is a place where people are not in hurry - they talk slow, they move slow, they're more relaxed and so kind. I loved the city with its great architecture, spirit and atmosphere. I'll definetly go back there sometime.

True, true...
